The USDA announced that the August Class III milk price was released at $17.91 per hundredweight. That’s up 53-cents from the month before, and 18-cents more compared to year-ago levels.
So far, the Class III price has been averaging $17.71 in 2013.
The Class IV price was 17 cents higher from last month at $19.07, and was $3.31 more than last year’s price for August.
