A procurement of leading lots is causing organisers to brand this year’s Genetic Elite Sale the best in decades.
Taking place on Thursday 12 June 2014 at Sedgemoor Auction Centre, near Bristol, this is the first time Holstein UK’s leading Black & White pedigree sale will be held in the South West.
Dovetailing the Breed Society’s yearly ‘Holstein Celebration’ event, the Genetic Elite Sale offers breeders an opportunity to market the very best of their breeding programmes, and this annual sale provides the ideal platform to showcase what the UK has to offer.
With something for everyone, the auction will feature calved heifers along with polled and high genomic calves, all with outstanding potential.

· Sahara Goldwyn Alicia VG89-3yr from Aitkenbrae Starbuck Ada family – her Meridian daughter sells
· Genomic giant Farnear-TBR-BH Cash-O’s GPLI £197, TM +2.96 Minnigan-Hill Day daughter sells
· Sahara Supersire Jessica (Supersire x Hood ATM Jessice VG88-2yr) [genomic results pending] has a full brother in AI at Cogent and her half brother has been procured for a German AI stud
· A Stanleycup from the Reserve All Britain Senior Heifer in milk, Davlea Goldwyn Pledge VG87-2yr
Tom Cope, a respected breeder and Holstein enthusiast from the Huddlesford herd, has been appointed as Northern Sale Promoter. Tom says: “The new location presents great opportunity for local breeders and allows Northern counterparts to explore a new market.”
