Wisconsin Holstein to Host Midwest Spring National in Madison

Baraboo, WI – March 16, 2015…The Wisconsin Holstein Association is excited to announce a new venue for the Midwest National Spring Holstein Show, to be held at the New Holland Pavilions in Madison, Wis., on April 25, 2015.

“Wisconsin Holstein is providing a top-tier venue as we invite all Holstein breeders to join us for this national show,” said Paula Bovre, WHA Board President. “The Pavilions have enough space for all exhibitors and the show to be held under one roof, and we look forward to utilizing this facility for WHA shows for years to come.”

This year marks Wisconsin Holstein’s 125th year in business, and the association has hosted a spring show since 1984, when the inaugural show was held at the Dane County Fairgrounds in Madison. Since then, the show has moved locations between Madison and the nearby Jefferson County Fairgrounds, and has been renamed to the Midwest Spring National Holstein Show. The event now showcases elite Holstein cattle from over five different states, and has since partnered with the Red and White Holstein Association to have an additional breed show the day before the black and white event.

The Wisconsin Holstein Association and its board of directors are excited to take advantage of updated facilities and the opportunity to bring the show back to Madison for the next three years. All exhibitors and the show ring will be located under one roof, in pavilion two. Justin Burdette will judge this year’s show.

Wisconsin Holstein invites all breeders to check out the updated facilities and exhibit at this year’s show. Exhibitors can enter online or print a form from the WHA website, at www.wisholsteins.com. The entry deadline for the show is March 31, 2015. Information for ordering supplies is also available on the web, and orders must be in by April 15, 2015.
