Wisconsin Holstein Barn Meetings Take Place This Week

The Wisconsin Holstein Association will be hosting a series of three barn meetings this week, with a program focused on classification. Hosts for the meetings are Mayerlane Holsteins, Paltzer Holsteins and Fischerdale Holsteins.
The topic of this year’s barn meetings is Classification. Here is your opportunity to get your questions answered by the classifier as he explains why cows score what they do and how do they arrive at that score. Even the most seasoned veteran can learn something as the program continues to evolve.
Cy Letter will be available at all three barn meetings to talk about the classification program. Letter has decades of experience and his cowmanship is beyond reproach. He has been involved in classifying some of the stars of our breed but readily acknowledges the most important part of the program is getting all cows scored and linearized correctly so we as breeders can use the Sire Summary with confidence when we mate our cows.
