No winter doldrums have set in at Juniper Farms in Gray, ME. Everyone is busy making plans and preparations for what is sure to be a fun-filled and educational weekend, full of great opportunities. The Swing Into Spring Tag Sale & Youth Dairy Camp is set for April 1st-3rd at the farm.
Juniper’s desire is to offer young people in our industry the opportunity to purchase affordable show calves and heifers, and to benefit from the guidance and advice of top showmen, on showring success.
The educational event will include clinics for youth on preparing animals for showring competition, as well as lessons on showmanship.
The Tag Sale will be geared toward this philosophy as well. The sale will be open to youth one day before it is opened to adults, and will remain open to youth one day after closing to adults. Juniors who purchase in the 2016 event will have the right of first refusal on the offering at the 2017 event.
Juniper Farms will further help mentor youth by housing, transporting and assisting the juniors with preparations on their purchases at the New York Spring Carousel at no extra charge.
