We are excited to announce Julie Drendel Ashton of Marseilles, IL, has accepted the Website Administrator and Sales position with Cowsmopolitan Dairy Magazine. Julie brings with her 10 years of professional experience in the dairy industry and will be a valuable asset to the Cowsmo team.
Julie’s main role will be to manage and contribute daily content for www.cowsmo.com, offer sales support in the Midwest (Ohio, Illinois & Wisconsin), Western USA (Utah, Washington & California) and Canada (Quebec). She will also be responsible for show and sale coverage from coast to coast. Along with managing Cowsmo’s website content and Facebook page she will be working with breeders to update their breeder websites hosted on Cowsmo.

Julie is the past editor of HolsteinWorld and the Illinois Holstein Herald and currently owns Julie Lynn designs, a freelance graphic design company. Julie is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Animal Sciences with an emphasis on agriculture communications. Julie’s family also owned and operated Lindale Holsteins in Hampshire, IL, until their herd dispersal in fall 2016.
Julie is married to J.W. Ashton, a grain farmer, and has two young boys, Jacob, 3, and Jared, 9 months.
