Jersey Canada reluctantly accepts the resignation of Jimmy Kohler, Director for Quebec 1. Jimmy is focusing his time and energy on his new, growing family, and Alpenrose Jerseys.
The Jersey Canada Board of Directors extends their thanks and appreciation to Jimmy for his dedication to our association, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
As a result, there is currently a vacancy on the Jersey Canada Board of Directors for the Quebec Region (the “Quebec 1” seat). Any Jersey Canada members in good standing interested in running for this seat are asked to forward a completed nomination form to the Jersey Canada office by Friday, February 6, 2015.
This call for nominations is to fill the remaining one year for the seat vacated by Jimmy Kohler. This one-year term will begin at the Annual General Meeting to be held in March 2015.
To be eligible to become and remain a Director, the nominee must be a member in good standing of Jersey Canada, residing in the district for which he/she is to be elected, and be the registered owner of at least ten (10) living females, registered in the Canadian Jersey Cattle Register.
Nomination for the office of Director must be made in writing, to be received at the office of the Association by the Friday, February 6, 2015. To be valid, a nomination must be signed by five (5) members in good standing, not including the nominee, all residing in the electoral district, and the nominee must, by his/her signature, show willingness to act in the best interest of the corporation. Nomination forms are available from the national office. If, on February 7th, there is only one valid nomination in the electoral district, the nominee shall be declared elected.
