Genus ABS is proud to have launched two of the highest available genomic sires for PLI this week. De-Su Octavian and Mr Miguel are the number three and four available PLI sires at £627 and £624 respectively.
De-Su Octavian (Numero Uno x Bookem x Shottle), the higher gPLI of the two at £627, will be a worldwide sire of sons due to his high rankings in many different countries. He hails from the world famous Georgia family at De-Su. His proof displays 691 kg’s of milk with positive fat and protein and an excellent fertility index of 6.3. His type proof indicates that he will sire well balanced animals with excellent feet and legs.
Miguel’s Dam Miss TMK Robust Mugsy VG85
Mr Miguel (Cashcoin x Robust x Mac), who has £624 gPLI is an outcross sire for the UK as both Robust and Mac have never been available in the UK. Miguel, who is positive for all health and fitness traits, combines a moderate 300 kg’s of milk with huge fat and protein percentages. His proof shows that he will sire smaller than average cows with excellent well attached udders.
