Brian Betts of Master Breeder Herd Bristol Acres Obituary

Everyone at Cowsmo would like to send our deepest condolences and thoughts to the family and friends of Brian.

Brian Betts passed suddenly on August 25th, 2022. Brian leaves behind his loving wife, Crystal, and his three children Amanda (Matt) Nevills, Mitchell (Caprial), and Stirling (Alex). Brian is remembered by his parents, Murray and Phyllis Betts, and by siblings Gary (Kim) Betts, Leonard Betts, Scott (Tanya) Betts, Mary-Jean (Darryl) Verbeek and Rick Nicholls. He is predeceased by his in-laws, Bev and Betty Nicholls. Brian was overjoyed to be expecting his first grandchild later this year.

BrianBetts_cowsmo22Brian’s passion was farming and he dedicated his life to producing milk and taking care of the land and animals that he loved. His involvement in the farming industry stretched beyond Bristal Acres as he was proud to sit on the board of EastGen and act as a delegate for Gay Lea Foods. Brian worked tremendously hard on his own farm but always found time to volunteer in his community or help a neighbour in need.

Recently, Brian found time to enjoy life beyond the barn with his eldest son, Mitchell, taking on a larger role in the daily operations. Brian and Crystal frequented local spots to enjoy wing nights or dinner out with friends. Brian loved taking Sunday drives, often stopping in to visit his children. Brian and Crystal’s generosity was famous among many circles. A stop at the farm was always welcomed with a warm greeting, a cold drink, and delicious meal. Nothing made Brian happier than a full house, especially visits from his kids that he loved so much.

The Betts family is devastated by the tragic loss of a wonderful husband, father, son and brother. His absence will be felt by all that had the good fortune to know him. Crystal, Amanda, Mitchell and Stirling are overwhelmed with the kindness of our family and friends and sincerely thank them for their support.
