Over $70,000 in dairy semen and embryos was stolen from the farm of Dan Weness, a LeRoy, Minn.
KTTC, a Rochester, Minn., station with coverage in southeastern Minnesota, reports that the theft happened between April 1 and 7. But Weness says he and his employee were only simultaneously away from his farm on April 4, Easter.
Weness told the KTTC reporter that he has about 80 head on-site. Minnesota show results list Weness as involved in the showring through ownership of cattle in several breeds. Anyone with information should contact the Mower county sheriff.
