New appointment strengthens HUK’s R&D team

Europe’s largest independent Breed Society, Holstein UK, has strengthened its Research & Development (R&D) department with the appointment of Emma Jones.

The Nottingham Trent University graduate joins Holstein UK’s expert team as R&D Knowledge Transfer Co-ordinator.

With the imminent launch of Holstein UK’s innovative ‘Breeding Toolbox’, Emma joins the Society at an exciting time and in her new role, the enthusiastic 23-year old will be working within the business to aid communication of Holstein UK products and services.

With a passion for all things dairy, this farmer’s daughter hails from the renowned Wiltor and Sahara herds in Monmouthshire and has been a member of Holstein UK’s Holstein Young Breeders (HYB) programme since the age of 12.

Emma’s dedication to the black and white pedigree breed is well documented throughout her HYB career. Four years ago Emma registered the ‘Showgirl’ prefix, which she co-owns with her sister Lucy, and impressively they already have two All-Britain wins under their belt.

Lucy Andrews-Noden, Holstein UK’s Business Development Executive, says: “Emma will act as an integral part of the R&D team, a function which is at the heart of the business. Given Emma’s passion, drive and fervour for the breed, I am sure she will be a key asset to the organisation.”

Emma will be representing the company at various forthcoming events, including the Royal Ulster Winter Fair. Contact Emma on +44 (0)7792 048014 or [email protected]
