Monsanto’s Mom of the Year Finalist – WI Dairy Farm Wife

One of the five finalists for Monsanto’s 2013 America’s Farm Mom of the Year program is from the Badger State. Tina Hinchley of Cambridge has been named the program’s regional winner for the Midwest. She was selected by a group of judges from American Agri-Women and Monsanto in recognition of the contributions she makes to her family, farm, community and the agricultural industry.

The profiles of each of the moms are being featured on http://www.americasfarmers.com/farmmom/ through May 11, where online voting will determine the national winner.

Tina and her husband, Duane, own and operate Hinchley’s Dairy Farm, where they have been hosting farm tours since 1997 to give school children a behind-the-scenes look at where their milk comes from.

The Hinchleys grow dent corn, corn silage, soybeans, winter wheat, alfalfa and pumpkins, and are members of several local agricultural organizations, including the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, Wisconsin Beef Council and Wisconsin Farmers Union Board. Tina is also a proud FFA alum and 4-H leader.

“I am very honored to be selected to represent the Farm Mom’s in the Midwest Region,” Tina says. “I am very excited to continue promoting and educating others about the many farms that grow and produce healthy, safe, and affordable food, for not only the families in the United States, but the whole world.”

They have twin daughters, Anna and Catherine, and two sons, Spencer and Curtis.

Monsanto’s America’s Farmers Mom of the Year is an extension of the America’s Farmers program, which celebrates the contributions of farmers who provide food, energy and clothing for a growing planet.
