Logan Voigts CRV USA as Dairy Genetics Intern

CRV USA is pleased to welcome Logan Voigts, from Belmont, Wisconsin, to the team as a Dairy Genetics Intern. Mr. Voigts grew up on his family’s dairy farm in southwest Wisconsin and is a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he is pursuing a degree in Dairy Science with a certificate in Agriculture Business Management.

“Logan brings a strong dairy background and deep understanding of genetics to the CRV team,” said Amy VanderMark, CRV USA Managing Director. “We are excited to have him on the team and we’re looking forward to using his expertise to continue to build tools and solutions for our customers.”

LoganVoigtsCRV_1cowsmo2017Mr. Voigts will have a variety of responsibilities as the Dairy Genetics Intern, which include: tracking performance on CRV progeny, working with CRV’s mating program, SireMatch, assisting with HerdOptimizer testing and data analysis, as well as helping with the sales and promotion of CRV’s products, programs, and services to U.S. dairy producers.

Logan’s background includes: Assistant Herd Manager on his family’s dairy farm, Wisconsin Holstein Association Junior Activities Committee Vice Chair, being active on both 4-H and collegiate judging teams, participating in the Lafayette County Junior Holstein Association and being the President since 2012, as well as being a member and/or officer of several organizations on campus such as the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, Badger Dairy Club, Collegiate Farm Bureau, and Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association.
