In this role, YOU WILL:
• Act as a technical dairy industry resource on various trends, topics and on Holstein Canada services
• Extend information to producers, staff, provincial branches and other industry groups in English and French
• Research and create educational materials for courses, conferences, workshops, publications, webinars and videos
• Attend and share information at industry events
• Contribute knowledge and expertise to technology and industry projects
• Build solid professional relationships within the dairy industry across Canada
• Participate on the Holstein Canada Social Media team
YOU OFFER:
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, ag business or a related field
• 2-4 years’ progressive work experience in the dairy industry
• Knowledgeable about current on-farm management systems, producers needs and an understanding of where the Dairy industry is heading
• Ability to analyze data and present it in a neutral and unbiased manner
• Strong listening, speaking, writing and presentation skills in English and French
• Ability to travel for events throughout Canada (approx. 20% of time)
• Proficient with MS Office, experience with social media
• Experience in adult education is a distinct asset
