Douglas Dye of Quality Quest Holsteins Obituary

Douglas Scott Dye, 58, of Beloit, passed away on Tuesday, July 21,2020. Doug was born on February 27,1962 in Alliance, Ohio to Marvin N. and Mary Joan (Oyster) Dye. Doug was a 1980 graduate of West Branch High School. He was a lifetime farmer and a member of the North Georgetown First Brethren Church and Ohio Holstein Association. He and his wife are the proud founders, breeders and developers of Quality Quest Holsteins for the last 31 years. He enjoyed farming, Mount Union Football, talking politics and spending time with his family, supporting them in all their activities.

Doug is survived by his parents, his wife Martha “Marty” (Berger) Dye, his children Joshua Whinnery, of Texas, Bryan(Autumn) Whinnery, of Beloit, Evan Dye, of Beloit, Jonathan(Megan) Dye, of Minerva, Hannah(Ben) Simpson, of Belmont and Micah Dye, of Beloit. He is also survived by grandchildren Alexius, Austin, Addyson, Carson, Wyatt, Lane, Makenzie, and great grandson Isaac, also a brother David(Jony) Dye and sisters Cindy(Ed) Schneider and Amy(Andy) Estock,

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 11AM at the Damascus Friends Church with Pastor Joel Soza officiating. A time of visitation will take place at the church on Sunday, July 26,2020 from 2PM to 6PM and also one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday. Due to the current health crisis, we urge all guests to adhere to the mandated health guidelines. Masks and maintaining social distance of 6 feet between families is encouraged. Internment will take place at North Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Doug’s honor to the North Georgetown First Brethren Church, 27333 Main St., North Georgetown, Ohio 44665 or Heartland Christian School, 28 Pittsburgh St.,Columbiana, Ohio 44408.
