The USDA announced that the July Class III milk price was released at $17.38 per hundredweight. That’s down 64-cents from the month before, but 70-cents more compared to year-ago levels.
So far, the Class III price has been averaging $17.69 in 2013.
The Class IV price was two cents higher from last month at $18.90, and was $4.45 more than last year’s price for June.
The agency also reported the July all-milk price at $19.10 per hundredweight, down 40-cents from June
