Long-time Ontario Ayrshire breeders Bill and Elizabeth Boyes passed away within three days of each other this past December. Their family has now set up a Facebook page to commemorate their lives and share remembrances. A celebration of life is also being planned for June 13 at the Lakeridge Links Golf Course in Whitby, ON.

Bill and Elizabeth Boyes hardly, if ever, spent three days apart during their 57 years of marriage.
Sadly, in death, they have been separated by three days, as Elizabeth passed away Thursday at Lakeridge Health Oshawa after Bill had died unexpectedly Monday at home in Oshawa at the age of 89.
The couple have four children, including Bryan and Barb Boyes, who were inducted into the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame in 2013 and 2010 respectively.
Bryan is the longtime head athletic trainer and equipment manager for the Oshawa Generals, while Barb is a teacher in Whitby and fixture in the lacrosse community, most notably the founder of the Oshawa Lady Blue Knights field program.
The couple have two other children, Dave and Dianne, four grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
