The coloured breeds show committee can now reveal the Judges for the 2014 All Breeds All Britain Calf Show.
Tom Barratt from the Rettbar Holstein herd in Buckinghamshire who incidentally was the first ever HYB member will be judging all of the Coloured breed’s showmanship classes on day one. Tom is a very well respected judge throughout the country. Judging the Ayrshire classes will be John Adamson from the Swaites herd in Lanarkshire. The man in the ring for the Dairy Shorthorns will be Seimon Thomas from Pembrokeshire. 2014 sees a return to the judging ring for Dawn Corryn from Cornwall, but this time she will be officiating in the Guernsey ring. Heifin Wilson from the famous Tregibby herd in Cardigan will be making all of the decisions in the Jersey ring.
Five of the UK’s top judges will be making all of the decisions at this year’s All Breeds All Britain calf show in the coloured breeds show ring on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October 2014. With the earlier announcements from Holstein UK, confirming the new venue as being at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, Worcestershire there will be sure to be much excitement within Young Breeders from all societies.
With a change to the usual format, the Coloured breeds’ showmanship classes which as always will include the British Friesians, have appointed their own judge. Previously the Holstein showmanship judge would cover all the showmanship classes. In a bid to ‘speed up’ Saturday’s activities, both the Holstein and coloured breeds showmanship classes will have their own rings running at the same time.
We are also delighted to announce that our main sponsor for this year will again be Cogent Breeding LTD. All of the Coloured breeds members and society’s are most grateful and thank you!
