The Grand National Ayrshire Sale held in conjunction with the National Ayrshire Convention was hosted by the Ohio Ayrshire Association.The sale concluded with an unofficial average on the 44 live lots of $2,750. Four semen lots, 7 embryo lots and 1 pick also sold.

Lot 2 – High Seller
Geminaecho Remington Shellie sold for $8600.  No stranger to the show ring she was UAA Fall Calf, 2nd Fall Yearling and Grand Champion at the 2013 Ohio Spring National Show.  Shellie is a Remington daughter out of and EX-90 with over 22,000lbs milk.  Shellie’s maternal sister is the well known Geminaecho Showstar Shirley EX-91 who was Grand at the 2013 NY Spring Show.  She was consigned by the Hawvermale family of Wooster, Ohio.  Ty & Heather Etgen & Ron and Patti Kennedy, OH were the buyers.

Lot 7. – Second High Seller
Kellcrest Astroid-ET sold for $8400.  Astroid is a fall calf that sold with conditional contracts to Semex who has a full brother.  Astroid is a Reality daughter out of Kellcrest Fenella-ET EX-92 3E records over 32,000lbs.  Next dam EX-92 6E records over 27,000lbs milk.  She was consigned by Kellcrest Farms LTD., Quebec and purchased by Marjorie Hardy and Ryan Rida.

Lot 6 – Third High Seller
Chaluka Volvo Zima 2 sold for $7500.  She is a Volvo fall calf out of De La Plaine Calimero Roxi-ET VG-87.  Next dam De La Plaine Rhythm Romi EX-90 3E over 24,000lbs milk.  Zima sold with conditional contracts to Semex as well.  She was consigned by Ferme De La Plaine & Charest, Quebec and purchased by Leslie Bruchey, MD.

Lot 19
Forever Schoon Real Pretty-ET sold for $5700.  She sold with a $2500 heifer contract and is due in August with a ultra sounded heifer.  Real Pretty is a Jr. 2 Reality daughter out of Forever Schoon Pretty EX-93 2E.  Real Pretty’s full brother Predator is at TAG.

Lot 40
Rosayre Burdette’s Keltic-ET sold for $4600.  A Jr. calf Burdette daughter out of the All-Canadian winter yearling Rosayre BB Korvette EX-90.  Ken & Shirley Rose, Ontario were the consignors.

Lot 35
De La Plaine Dreamer Prixi-ET sold for $4600.  A Dreamer fall calf out of De La Plaine Wilton Pixou EX-93 3E Reserve All-Canadian 4-year-old.  Next dam De La Plaine Perceval Pixel EX-90 2E.  She was consigned by Ferme De La Plaine, Quebec

Lot 8
Primetime Burdette Pretty-ET sold for $4400.  She is a Burdette winter calf out of Mackayr R Primetime VG-89, All-American Sr. 2-year-old 2011.  Pretty was consigned by Dane Lang, Ski-Pal Ayrshires & Blake Beiber, IA

Lot 47
Pick of Flush – Reality or Burdette x Geminaecho Showstar Shirley EX-91.  10 pregnancies due March 2014.  Guaranteed three heifer calves to choose from.  The choice was consigned by Ryan Rida & Marjorie Hardy, VT.
Lot 32
Grand-View HP Burdette Dove-ET sold for $4100.  A Burdette fall calf out of Grand-View BBBK Dreamer EX-93.  Next dam is a EX-91 Cornelius.  Dove is a potential 9th generation Excellent.  She was consigned by Tim Busch & City Slickers Farm, WI

Lot 4
Ski-Pal Burdette Crystal sold for $3800.  She is a Burdette April calf out of Van-De Obliques Cricket Crazy.  Next dam is Van-De K-T-Did Cricket EX-92 with records over 28,000lbs milk.  Crystal was consigned by Lynn Lee, David & Gerald Koss, IA

Palmyra Riggins T Gwyneth-ET sold for $3600.  A Riggins March calf out of Tri-Star R Ginger EX-91 UAA Sr. 2 year old 2009.  Generations of Excellent & VG cows.  Consigned by Palmyra Farm and Mike & Michael Creek, MD

Lot 11
Wild Springs Avenging Twinkle VG-88 brought $3600.  A Jr. 3-year-old fresh in December and due in December to Burdette.  An Avenger daughter ouf of a VG-86 Olympic 2.  The Monnat family of NY was the consignor.

Lot 16
Maulfair Acres Burdette Briann sold for $3400.  She is a Burdette Jr. 2-year-old out of a VG-88 Blackout.  She is due Sept. 1st to Duncan Madmax with an ultrasound heifer calf.  She was consigned by Dale Maulfair, PA

Lot 41
Toppglen Prime Suspect sold for $3400.  Prime daughter out of Shiredale Phil’s Susan EX-93 UAA 4-year-old 2010.  Next dam has lifetime production of 131,000lbs.  Tanner Topp of Wooster, OH was the consignor.

Lot 29 – no picture
Brown-Brook Ideostar June brought $3200.  She is an Ideostar daughter out of an EX-91 Pardner with over 24,000lbs milk.  Consigned by Dale & Linda Graves.

Elchert-Ayr Showstar’s Flirty sold for $3100.  A Showstar Summer Yearling out of a Dilligent. Consigned by James Elchert.

Lot 37
Hall’s Imperial Nikita sold for $3100.  An Imperial winter calf x VG-85 Rebel.  Consigned by McKenzie Stanford, OK
