Wisconsin Holstein Association Names Summer Interns

Baraboo, Wis. – May 26, 2017… The Wisconsin Holstein Association is pleased to announce Krista Styer of Menomonie and Jill Seiler of Valley Center, Kansas, as our 2017 summer interns.

Krista and Jill will be based out of the office in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
During the summer, Krista and Jill will serve in public relations and communications roles. Krista’s main responsibility will be the planning and coordination of the 2017 WHA Futurity in West Allis, while Jill will aid with transition to a new website, gathering articles and content for the Wisconsin Holstein News and the coordination of the WHA Picnic.
In addition to these duties, Krista and Jill will work with the Wisconsin Holstein staff to create content for the website, e-newsletter and blog, as well as attend various shows, meetings and events throughout the state to benefit the association.
Krista Styer grew up on her family’s 2,000 cow dairy farm, Alfalawn Farm. She has also been involved in the Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association through showing and junior convention.
Krista is a junior at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities where she is majoring in agricultural communications and marketing and minoring in animal sciences. Her previous experience as the Minnesota FFA Convention photography intern will benefit WHA this summer. Krista is looking forward to traveling around the state interacting with fellow breeders.
Jill Seiler was raised on her family’s 150-cow Registered Holstein operation, in south central Kansas. She has been actively involved in the Kansas Junior Holstein Association and is currently a senior studying agricultural communications and journalism and animal sciences and industry at Kansas State University.
Jill’s previous experience includes working as a marketing intern for the Kansas Department of Agriculture and is currently the communications intern for Kansas Dairy giving her experience in writing, photography, layout and design. Jill is excited to meet producers and breeders across the state and learn more about dairying in Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Holstein staff is excited to welcome Krista and Jill and their talents to the team beginning May 23, 2017.
