Wisconsin Dairy Farm Welcomes The Bachelor And His Dates

It looks like “The Bachelor” can’t get enough of the farm life. The popular reality television show selected Knigge Farms in Omro, Wisconsin, for the perfect date setting for current “Bachelor” Nick Viall and his female companions.

“The Bachelor” began its 21st season on Jan. 2. Knigge Farms will be featured on the fourth episode, which is scheduled to air Jan. 23. According to the family Facebook post, Nick and the cast milked and fed cows and learned about modern dairy farming from Charlie and Pete Knigge.

Located just 20 miles west of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Knigge Farms grows 600 acres of alfalfa, corn, soybeans, oats and wheat; milks 130 cows; and raises 170 heifers, calves, and steers. The first dairy farm in the United States to have robotic milkers, Knigge Farms offers a half-hour guided tour of their robotic milking operation and automatic calf-feeding technology as well as a visit to the free stall dairy barn where cows milk themselves 24 hours a day.

Maybe Viall will take after his predecessor and use his celebrity status to promote agriculture … Check out our exclusive interview with “The Bachelor” Chris Soules on how he is helping people understand today’s modern farmer.
