Winter Win: Propane prices could fall in favor of farmers this season
As winter approaches, there is good news for farmers as propane prices could be in their favor.
Thanks to reduced demand during the dry harvest season, the Propane Education and Research Council says stable pricing and steady supplies position the industry well for the colder months ahead.
“In total, nationally, our gallons are going to be down for grain drying and that’s a good thing for the farmers listening. But corn in general was dry in the West. As you went to the extreme eastern end of the Corn Belt, we actually saw some pretty normal corn moisture,” said Mike Newland.
The group also highlights the resilience of propane exports with minimal disruptions.
