Researchers from the University of British Columbia are looking for dairy producers in the four Western Canadian provinces to participate in a study on farmer perceptions of weaning success. The aim of this study is to evaluate farmer attitudes around weaning and calf rearing in dairy herds. Dairy producers will be interviewed virtually to assess their attitudes toward calf weaning, challenges they face and how they view the future of calf weaning and raising.
Dairy producers may benefit from an increased awareness of the challenges and successes related to calf weaning and raising. The final research publication has potential to become an extension resource for producers and guide future research.
If producers are interested in participating, please contact Elizabeth at [email protected] or 425-346-9216
