The Washington State Holstein Convention 2016 will take place in Lake Moses, WA February 19th-20th. The weekend will feature the annual meeting and committee meetings, the Pride of Washington Sale and the awards banquet featuring guest speaker Michele Payne-Knoper from Causematters.com. Banquet Tickets:
Tickets must be purchased in advance and will be available at the registration table for pick-up. Tickets are $45 for Adults and $25 for WA State Holstein Junior Members. We would like to thank Accelerated Genetics for sponsoring a portion of the meal tickets for our Junior Members!

Michele Payne-Knoper from Causematters.com
Michele Payn-Knoper, CSP, connects the people and science of food and farming as principal of Cause Matters Corp. She is known for being a community catalyst, a passionate advocate for the global agrifood system – and antagonizing people into action. Michele has worked with farmers in more than 25 countries, raised over $5 million in sponsorships for the National FFA Foundation and founded the weekly online Twitter conversation, AgChat, which has involved more than 15,000 participants since April 2009. Payn-Knoper’s degrees are in Agricultural Communications and Animal Science from Michigan State University. She has earned the Certified Speaking Professional designation, awarded to less than 10% of professional speakers globally. She resides with her daughter on a small farm in central Indiana, where they enjoy Registered Holsteins, MSU Spartans and cooking. Michele serves as a resource to connect conversations between the food and farm communities on her website.
