DFO has requested details from The University of Guelph about its decision regarding the closing of the University of Guelph’s Kemptville and Alfred campuses.
The quota assigned to the University is owned by DFO and issued to the University of Guelph for the purpose of research and education. DFO is waiting for the future plans associated with Kemptville and Alfred before a decision can be made on the quota held.
Meetings have been scheduled with the University of Guelph officials and local stakeholders. No decision will be made until we have sufficient information.
