The Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show (COFS) team is very pleased and proud of the success of the 2015 Show, held September 15 to 17 in Woodstock. Farmers in attendance were able to see the latest innovations in agriculture from a wide variety of agri-business exhibitors.
Joining COFS President Doug Wagner to officially open the Show on Tuesday September 15, 2015, were Dr. Malcolm Campbell, University of Guelph Vice-President (Research), Glacier Media President and CEO Jon Kennedy, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Deb Stark, Trevor Birtch, Mayor of Woodstock and several others.
There are many contributing factors that mark success for the 22nd annual event. Here are a few examples:
- Attendance was comparable to past years, at 43,200 attendees
- Three days of fantastic weather
- Excellent feedback from exhibitors that COFS remains a business-to-business trade show that delivers a targeted audience of progressive farm families
- Positive attendee feedback regarding exhibitors, field demonstrations and more
- International attendees to COFS 2015 included visitors from Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan, Mexico, Denmark and the Consul General of India
- Incredible showmanship from over 750 COFS exhibitors
- Many launches of new programs, products and buildings during the three days
“We are very pleased that over 43,000 people attended the Show, especially since many farmers were in the middle of harvest and still managed to take a day to come and see the latest innovations in agriculture,” says Show President Doug Wagner.
“Of equal importance is the fact that we provide a proven venue for exhibitors to showcase their products and services year after year, to the right kind of farmers. For farmers, they have the opportunity to see equipment in action, test-drive and visit interactive exhibits from various manufacturers, all in one day,” adds Wagner. “It’s a win-win!”
