Texas Guernsey Grand Champion at 2013 All-American Dairy Show

Lavon Farms Gemini Jill, exhibited by Todd Moore of Plano, Texas, was named Grand Champion of the National Guernsey Show held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the 2013 All-American Dairy Show in Harrisburg.

Moore and “Jill” also claimed the Senior Championship title after winning the 4-Years-Old Cow class. Moore earned Reserve Senior Champion with his 5-Year-Old cow entry Lavon Farms Rowe Ready.

Reserve Grand Champion honors went to Millborne Hillpoint S Fiesta-ET, exhibited by P. Morey Miller of Granby, Conn., after securing the Intermediate Championship title.

Marshall Overholt of Big Prairie, Ohio, earned Junior Champion and Reserve Intermediate Champion, while Beth Clark of New Paris, Pa., won the Reserve Junior Champion title.

Chris Lahmers of Marysville, Ohio, was the show judge.

The 50th All-American Dairy Show, the world’s largest dairy show, runs Sept. 7-12 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg. This year’s show features 23 shows in six days, the nation’s only all-dairy antiques show, nearly 3,000 animals and 2,000 exhibitors from across the nation.
