Future dairy leaders are encouraged to apply for a scholarship opportunity to attend the 2013 Pennsylvania Dairy Summit held Feb. 6-7, 2013, at the Lancaster Host Resort, Lancaster County. The annual event offers the opportunity to learn more about cutting-edge dairy technology and production practices, while networking with the nearly 500 dairy producers and industry representatives who attend.
Offered by the Center for Dairy Excellence and Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association, the scholarship will cover $75 of the $100 summit registration and any associated hotel expenses. Scholarships are offered on a first come, first served basis, with the scholarship recipient will be responsible for the remaining $25 Summit registration fee.
Applicants must operate a dairy farm, be employed on a dairy farm or be enrolled in an agricultural degree program in a college or trade school. They must be between the ages of 17 and 25 on February 1, 2012, and be a resident of Pennsylvania, or enrolled in an agricultural degree program in a Pennsylvania college or trade school.
