For actress Salma Hayek, there’s little that is more important than starting the day with a healthy breakfast. And to meet the nutritional needs of her family, she turns to milk – the “perfect protein.”
“I think it’s crucial to have a breakfast that is going to make you think clear and have energy throughout the day,” Hayek said in a behind-the-scenes look at her latest ‘got milk?’ campaign photo shoot.
Hayek donned the iconic white milk mustache in a campaign to reinforce the Breakfast at Home strategy by the Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP). While it’s not Hayek’s first time to promote milk, this latest campaign is one that resonates personally with the busy actress and mom.
“I make sure we always start with a great breakfast,” Hayek said. “It’s not always easy because, you know, we’re always in a hurry. So one way I make sure that my family has a nutritious breakfast is by including milk in it.”

According to a news release, the Breakfast at Home strategy has set out to “defend the 2.7 billion gallons of milk consumed during breakfast at home and to drive milk sales by creating demand with an integrated consumer campaign.”
