Skinner_Cowsmo22Ronald Richard Skinner, 58, of Mitchell, Ontario passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

Beloved husband of Lori Skinner. Dear father of Hannah Harris (Dean) and Jerett Skinner (Chelsey). Loving grandfather of Clyde and Kayce and looking forward to baby Skinner coming October 2022. Dear brother of Linda Reynolds. Dear brother-in-law of Joyce Skinner, Melissa and Rob Steinbach. Dear son-in-law of Jim Collins (Sherry). Dear uncle of Joel (Kristina), Meghan (Steve), Caleb, Nigel, Damon, Will and Jack.

Predeceased by his infant daughter Hillary (1993), parents Ronald (2016) and Verlyn (1998) Skinner, brother Lowell Skinner (2017) and mother-in-law Lynnda Collins (2006).

Richard’s family was always important to him. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifelong dairy farmer and steward of his land. He was a Past President of the Perth-Huron Jersey Club, Perth County Holstein Club, Mitchell Agricultural Society Fair Board and member of Thamesview United Church.

Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 2-4:30 and 6-9 p.m. Those attending the visitation are asked to schedule a time at LockhartFuneralHome.com or by calling the funeral home at 519-348-8643. Richard’s funeral service will be held at Thamesview United Church, 3178 Perth Rd. 163, Fullarton on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Nancy Knowles officiating (scheduling not required to attend funeral service). Interment in Bethel Munro Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Toronto General Hospital Lung Transplant Program through the University Health Network, Thamesview United Church or Huron Hospice would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
