Livestock reproductive services innovator STgenetics™ has hired lifelong beef industry veteran Robert Whitacre as Regional Beef Manager for the eastern U.S. 
In his new role, Whitacre, 45, will oversee STgenetics’ beef sales and services east of the Mississippi River. “I truly believe in the philosophy behind STgenetics’ slogan, ‘Because your business begins at conception.’ That’s where success starts,” he said. “I look forward to marrying the technology of STgenetics with the unique qualities of each customer’s operation to help make them more successful and ultimately more profitable.”
STgenetics™ is a worldwide leader in livestock reproduction and other services for cattle, horses, deer and swine. These services include sex-sorted semen and embryo production, and beef bull and heifer development.
Whitacre was born into a registered Black Angus operation in Virginia and participated in the family business from a very young age. He began artificially inseminating his family’s cows when he was 15 and he has been involved in the A.I. industry ever since. Before joining STgenetics™, Whitacre spent 16 years working for Accelerated Genetics as a sales representative, A.I. technician and, most recently, a beef specialist.
