Registration Open for the AJCA, NAJ Annual Meetings in Oregon

Registration for the AJCA-NAJ Annual Meetings is in its final days to receive the least expensive rates for the meetings June 22-25 in Portland, Ore.

If you are planning to attend, visit here and get your registration in before midnight on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, for the lowest rates. The registration cost is just $200 for adults and $150 for youth. This includes meals and travel from the hotel throughout the week. The prices increase on June 1 to $250 and $200.

The Oregon Jersey breeders have been planning for many years for this meeting. And after having to reschedule from COVID-19 in 2020, they are excited to finally have you in their backyard to visit and see some of the best Jerseys in the nation!

The annual meetings of the American Jersey Cattle Association and National All-Jersey Inc., will be held and a new president and directors for both organizations will be elected. Also, during the week you will have an opportunity to visit the following places:

As well, we will be recognizing some of our highest award honorees with our Master Breeder, Distinguished Service and Meritorious Service award winners. Also, six young Jersey breeders will be recognized at a banquet.

On Thursday evening in Tillamook, we will have the annual AJCC Research Foundation Auction. Items are starting to pour in. We even have a signed Jersey print from social media giant TDF Honest Farming – Derrick Josi.

While at Forest Glen Jerseys, the annual Cow Pie Bingo contest will be taking place. This program benefits Jersey Youth Academy. Squares will be available for purchase the week of the meetings. Make plans now to get in on the fun. You could win yourself a calf from Forest Glen Jerseys!

The National Heifer Sale will be held on Saturday, June 25 at the Evergreen Aviation Museum. While there you will be at the home of the world’s largest wooden flying boat, the Hughes H-4 Hercules “Spruce Goose,” the SR-71 “Blackbird,” and the Titan II SLV Missile. More than 12,000 cubic feet of documents recording the history, science, and technology of flight are housed in the Museum’s Archives.

The sale will again offer the most elite of Jersey genetics and 10% of all of the proceeds benefit the National Jersey Youth Development programs.You can always add another percent or two to your consignment to be directed to other programs such as Jersey Youth Academy, National Jersey Queen Fund, or Scholarships. There are many options and all goes to the development of our future!

Throughout the meetings, the youth will also have their own events such as a pizza and pool party, a visit to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, and a special program at Lady-Lane Jerseys.
