Pride of Washington Sale Averages $5,955

The Lewis County Holstein Club of Washington hosted the 2014 Pride of Washington Sale and Holstein Annual Meeting & Banquet on Friday night at the Great Wolf Lodge in Chehalis.Over 150 holstein enthusiasts were in attendance at the annual banquet and sale on Valentine’s evening which started off with the annual Pride of Washington Sale where all lots were sold absentee but were available for viewing at Claquato Farms, owned by the Young Family.  The sale averaged $5,955 over 20 lots with a lineup consisting of deep pedigreed, high type and genomic animals.

The sale was followed by a buffet style dinner, awards presentation, a silent auction for the Junior Holstein members as well as some comical entertainment and a great band!  Liz Anderson was named the 2014 Washington PDCA Hall of Fame Recipient, Mr. Rex Chamberlain of Moses Lake was this year’s Master Breeder recipient and this year’s Mr. Holstein Award winner went to Mr. Dick Dudonsky of Kelso.
