OHG – the nucleus breeding population for Holsteins in Germany – is well-known for the high genetic level and progress. OHG bulls like RAMOS, JOSE, LANCELOT or WIZZARD built a strong genetic base.
OHG GeneScan bulls
The results of the OHG GeneScan program are tremendous. From all genomically tested German bulls higher than gRZG 150 in total 4 bulls are reaching higher values than gRZE 124 for conformation and gRZD 100 for milking speed. 3 of these 4 bulls belong to OHG (BOSS, SUGAR, PLATIN). The production improver BEAUTY with gRZG 154 and the conformation improver SELECT with gRZG 147 are rounding the OHG line-up.
BOSS
With gRZG 161 BOSS is by far the highest German Holstein bull for total index. This Bookem son from the Niermann farm in Germany really has it all and will become one of the hottest sought-after bulls worldwide. Semen is already available, but limited. PAGINI
The Pagewire son PAGINI is a tremendous addition to the daughter proven OHG product line. Pagini’s dam, the well-known RR Shottle Elisa VG-89 from the Reinermann Farm, is a daughter of Broeks HBM Elsa VG-89 (the dam of Snowman). With RZE 141 (!) PAGINI is Germany’s highest available Holstein sire for conformation. In combination with his production value of + 2000 kg milk PAGINI will offer really great cows with huge milk production and tremendous type. In 2013 his daughters were already presented very successfully at the International Osnabrueck Black & White Days as well as the German National Holstein Show.
