Steve Nuttall, age 44, Doland, died in the St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, MN on Saturday night, April 15, 2017 after a long illness due to various heart and health issues.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5-7PM at the Furness Funeral Home at Clark and will continue after 9:30 AM at the Church near Doland.
At Steve’s request, wear casual for the funeral services. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the Emmanuel Mennonite Church, 13 miles south and 1 mile west of Doland. Pastors Gordon Wiebe and Harold Loewen will officiate. The casketbearers will be Todd and Caleb Orris, Jess Karber, Skip Williams, Brian Hofer, and Glen Palmquist. Burial will be at a later date.
He was born Steven Ray Nuttall on September 20, 1972 in the St. Joseph Hospital at Hillsboro, WI, the son of Rodney and Patricia (Davis) Nuttall. Steve went to school at New Lisbon, WI. One of his favorite pastimes while living in Wisconsin was showing Holstein cows.
On June 26, 1999 he was united in marriage to Jennifer Lovelace at Doland. They lived for a brief time in Aberdeen and then in 2001 moved to Doland where they have lived and raised their family since. While living in the Doland community, Steve worked for area farmers welding and driving trucks. For nearly the past five years he has been in declining health with heart issues. At the age of 12, he had received his first pacemaker.
Other pastimes, besides showing Holstein cows, Steve enjoyed most in life were driving a Peterbilt, dirt track racing, about anything on the farm, welding, watching his kids in their activities, and being an avid Cyclone Wrestling Booster. He will also be remembered for his love of visiting.
Survivors include his wife Jennifer and their children, Madison, Mitchell, Miranda, and Morgan and a son, Cody Westcott;, his mother, Patricia Nuttall of Tomah, WI, his maternal grandmother, Janice Davis, of Mauston, WI, a sister, Pam (Jerry) Long of Oakdale, WI, brothers, Paul (Mel) Nuttall of Reedsburg, WI, and Jason (Katie) Nuttall of Mauston, WI, in-laws, James & Marilyn Lovelace of Doland, Meredith (Chris Oberfoell) Lovelace of Doland and Amber (Kam) Schulz of Aberdeen, 6 nieces, 3 nephews and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding him in death was his father, Rodney Nuttall, paternal grandparents, Everett & Gladys Nuttall, maternal grandfather, Harold Davis and a niece.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated in his memory.
