Obituary for Missouri Holstein Breeder Willis Donald Farmer
January 4, 1940 – September 2, 2016

Willis Donald (Donnie) Farmer 76, Fair Grove, MO passed away in his home, Friday, September 2, 2016. Born on January 4, 1940, in Springfield, Mo. to Willis Mayfield Farmer and Alta Eileen (Goodwin) Farmer. He had been an area resident all of his life. Donnie was a retired Holstein Dairy Farmer, he had a unique talent for picking out good cattle and loved showing them. He used his talent and was able to travel the country, helping to choose cattle for sales and other related events. This allowed him to meet many people and make life-long friends along the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his two sons; Keith Farmer and Kyle Farmer and his wife Delana, grand-daughter Kelsey Grubaugh and her husband Taylor, and great-grandsons; Durham, Ozark, MO, Grandson: Kameron Farmer, Fair Grove, MO two sisters: Donna Ikerd (Virgil), Bolivar, MO, Debbie Ferguson (Ron), Olive Branch, MS.along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, Sept.8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be an hour before services from noon to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Bass Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Missouri Junior Holstein Association: 11449 Lawrence 2220, Verona, MO 65769.
