SHAWANO, Wis. – Seven new employees of Genex Cooperative, Inc. recently completed a two-week training program held at the headquarters in Shawano. Employees had the opportunity to increase their knowledge of cattle reproductive anatomy and physiology, heat detection, synchronization, semen handling, artificial insemination, and dairy and beef genetics.
Those completing the training program include Genex Tech Specialists, Seth Schulz of Birnamwood, Wisconsin, and Craig Betcher of Caledonia, Minnesota, as well as Service Specialists, Mikayla Fornwalt of Williamsburg, Pennsylvania, and Daniel Petherbridge of Dresser, Wisconsin. Also completing the training were Breeding Program Specialists, Tyler Lackman of Willington, Connecticut; Keith Bricker of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; and Kevin Magle of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The program emphasized qualifications needed for the employees to provide effective cattle reproductive services on Genex members’ dairy farms and beef ranches across the U.S.
