Murray James Pearson, formerly of Kintore. Murray continued as the fifth generation on the family farm. For more than 40 years he followed his passion breeding purebred Holstein cattle ultimately earning Holstein Canada’s highest honour of Master Breeder.  Following his retirement to St. Marys he remained active in the dairy industry as well as volunteering at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and working tirelessly as Chair of the Property Committee at St Marys United Church.

Murray passed away suddenly and peacefully at home on February 2, 2020 in his 74th year.

Brother of Penny-Wade, Jane Raffin (Lidio), Ruth Piovesan (Bill) Leah Pearson, and brother-in-law of David Knapp and Nancy Greenwald, predeceased by his brother in-law Bob Knapp. Murray will also be missed by nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Murray was proud of his contributions to agriculture as President of the Ontario Junior Farmers Association, 1973, Ontario Holstein Branch, Director and 4-H Leader.  He was a Charter Member of the Kintore Optimist Club and active member of Kintore United Church.

Murray was a “gentle soul”.  He loved to laugh and had a sharp sense of humour.  He loved people and the neighbourhood will miss his visits as he walked Maggie.

If life is measured in love and respect, Murray was a wealthy man.
