Sad news from Illinois as word came that long-time Holstein show ring campaigner, Ms Dundee Belinda EX-96 4E, passed away last week. She anchored the Butlerview show string for many years, and was admired for her balance and outstanding mammary system. She consistently placed in the top 5 at the International Holstein Show and Royal Winter Fair, and several times was Grand Champion at the Midwest Spring National Show and Illinois Championship Show. She was much loved by farm staff and show crews for her gentle temperament.
Belinda’s show credits include:
• All-American Lifetime Production Cow 2014
• Nominated All-Canadian Mature Cow 2014
• 1st 150,000 Lb Cow, International Holstein Show 2014
• Nominated All-American Junior 3-Year-Old 2010
• Nominated All-American Junior 2-Year-Old 2009
Belinda always reacted poorly to flush hormones, but was a ‘pregnant on first service’ cow throughout her life. She leaves behind a small, but notable, group of daughters: EX-92 Goldwyn, EX-90 Doorman, VG daughters by Gold Chip, Armani, and Brokaw.
