Maximize Herd Management With Infojersey Tools Is Topic Of Seminar At USJersey Meetings

Maximizing the profit potential with your Registered Jersey herd has never been simpler with the management tools available on infoJersey. On Wednesday, June 23 in Bettendorf, Iowa, attendees of the national meetings of the American Jersey Cattle Association (AJCA) and National All-Jersey Inc. (NAJ), will have the opportunity to learn more about the online tools available to manage their herds.

Staff members Kristin Paul, Sydney Endres and Philip Cleary will demonstrate new features to the Genomic Testing Center, BullsEye, JerseyMate and unveil the new JerseyTags ordering website.

These three tools are among the most used on the AJCA’s herd management website, infoJersey.com. Recent updates to the Genomic Testing Center include easier management of genomic conflicts, correcting conflicts and ordering kits. Did you know that even if your animal is nominated through a competitor, conflicts will show in the genomic center and allow you to make corrections?

In recent months, BullsEye and JerseyMate have both had numerous enhancements made to their functionality and sorting abilities. The advantages to these unbiased programs will be illustrated through a demonstration during the one-hour seminar.

Since 1986, JerseyMate has been aiding Jersey breeders with mating their Registered Jerseys and maximizing herd profit. Users may choose a set of default sires or import their own bulls to use on individuals. The program is available 24/7 HERE and is available free to herds enrolled on the REAP program.

BullsEye works hand-in-hand with JerseyMate to help you sort and select the sires to maximize your herd goals. The online program allows a user to set minimum levels for traits to find the bulls fitting their herd mating guidelines the best.

The new JerseyTags ordering center will be unveiled during the seminar. Staff members will walk you through the program and show you the enhancements incorporated into the redesigned JerseyTag website. Highlights will include how to save a tag design and the new and improved order history.

The seminar will begin at 3:00 p.m. (CDT) at the Isle Casino Hotel in rooms B and C.
