We are pleased to announce Larry Sheardown has joined Jersey Canada as our Ontario Extension Representative. Most will know Larry through Rexlea Jerseys, a two-time Master Breeder herd, located in Schomberg, Ontario until its sale earlier this year.
The recently published 2021-2024 Jersey Canada Strategic Plan saw outlined a core principle; “Provide services that support the successful advancement of the breed and members,” with a key component being a renewed focus on customer service and extension services.
To this end, we are confident Larry’s extensive dairy knowledge combined with a well-earned respect from Jersey Canada members will serve Ontario breeders well, whether new to the Jersey breed or expanding their herds.
