The Langwater Futures, an online sale of Guernsey genetics will be held from October 1 – 4, 2022.
Named in honor of the legendary Langwater Farms, owned by Frederick Lothrop Ames, whose enthusiastic promotion of the Guernsey cow was largely responsible for the dominance of the Guernsey cow in the first half of the 20th century. With the increasing demand for Guernsey milk, this sale will offer the finest genetics available to breeders to expand the breed with genetics, many of which will be eligible for export.
The sale will be held on Cowbuyer, and will feature approximately 25-30 world class Guernsey choices, embryos, mutually agreeable sire flushes, and a few live animals.
Brent Clements, Ed Crossland and Seth Johnson will serve as the sales staff. Catalogs will be available both online and in print in September. Consignments and updates will also be available on Facebook.
