A Junior Judging Workshop will be held at the California Holstein Association Convention. This workshop includes handouts and awards and will be helpful for all ages from youth, to high school & college students, to young judges!

- How: There is no cost to participate in one or both sessions. If you are interested in participating, please RSVP by messaging California Holstein Association to allow them to plan accordingly.
Agenda
Session #1 (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
– Learn how to use the Dairy Cow Unified Score Card
– View examples of ideal cows and heifers
– Evaluate major score card areas
– Practice a method to organize your notes
Session #2 (1:30 – 3:30 PM)
– Practice placing at least 4 classes including reasons demonstrated by the Cal Poly Dairy Science Program Judging Team students
– Learn ways to improve your placings & reasons
