Jersey Canada’s Next Generation & Youth Committee is pleased to announce the winners of its first ever photo contest! A total of 2364 votes were cast on the 50 photo entries throughout May and the front runners were always close. Check out the winners and other photos at www.facebook.com/JerseyCanada. Anna Fournier captures 3rd place with 216 votes for her stunning photo of BIRDSONG BLOSSOM’S DAISY enjoying some time out on pasture in British Columbia. This photo will also be featured on the cover of the next Jersey Breeder.
Erica Sayles’ shot of heifer calves at the feed bunk in her family’s new barn took 2nd place with 258 votes. Everyone loves a group of good looking Jersey heifers!
Rocky and Killian Kohler’s Jersey adventures captured many the hearts of many voters. All four shots of the boys transporting calves by bicycle and toy tractor did well, with the winning photo receiving 282 “likes”- a solid first place!
