Danny is the 3rd generation owner of Daybreak Farm in of St-Felix-de-Kingsey, Québec with his wife Heidi. Together with their eldest son Matthew, Matthew’s new bride, Kirsten, and their youngest son Steven, Danny and Heidi farm 700 acres of hay, corn, soya and oats. Since 2008, they have been milking a purebred herd of Jerseys and Holsteins under the prefix MSM in a tie stall barn. Today, the purebred herd consists of 70% Jerseys and 30% Holsteins.
With the recent graduation of both sons from the Farm Management & Technology program at McGill’s Macdonald College, Danny and Heidi decided to add a new addition to their present facilities in order to house the purchase of the Homeridge purebred Jersey herd in January of 2018.
It is Danny’s keen interest in dairy farming that pushed him to apply to become a national director for Jersey Canada. He is looking forward to being part of a great team.
