Jersey Canada is pleased to announce that the Official Judge for the 2014 National Jersey Show at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair will be Andrew Vander Meulen, Brighton, Ontario.
Judge Vander Meulen is no stranger to the Royal’s “Ring of Excellence,” as a long-time Royal exhibitor. He is one of the co-owners of Avonlea Genetics Inc., a third-generation purebred Jersey herd and sales & marketing business.
Judge Vander Meulen brings with him a comprehensive judging career, including the Stratford Championship Show, Eastern Ontario/Western Quebec Championship Show, and Expo Quebec. He officiated at the World Dairy Expo in 2007, the Pennsylvania All American, the Fort Worth Stock Show, and numerous State Fair Shows in the United States. Internationally, Judge Vander Meulen placed the Mexican National Show in 2006, the Sydney Royal in 2008, Lages Provincial Show (Brazil) in 2011, and Brazil’s National Jersey Show in 2014.
For the 2014 Royal National Jersey Show, Judge Vander Meulen named Claudio Aragon, Blumenau, Brazil as his Associate Judge. Judge Aragon is a Technical Director for Semex Brasil, and a veterinarian by trade, having graduated at Rio de Janeiro Veterinary University in 1985.
Judge Aragon is an official judge for Jerseys, Holsteins, and Brown Swiss, and his résumé includes the Uruguai National Holstein Show, the 2011 Trois Rivières Holstein Show, the 2012 Québec Spring Show, the 2013 Melbourne Royal Jersey Show (Australia), the 2013 Ontario Summer Show, and the 2013 Jersey Futurity Class at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.
The National Jersey Show will take place Friday, November 14, 2014and Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto, Ontario.

Le juge Vander Meulen est familier avec le « Cercle de l’Excellence » comme exposant de longue date à la Royale. Il est copropriétaire d’Avonlea Genetics Inc., qui possède un troupeau Jersey pur-sang de troisième génération ainsi qu’une entreprise de vente et de marketing.
Le juge Vander Meulen apporte une carrière de juge émérite incluant l’exposition de championnat de Stratford, l’Exposition de championnat Est de l’Ontario/Ouest du Québec et Expo Québec. Il a officié lors de la World Dairy Expo en 2007, la Pennsylvania All American, la Fort Worth Stock Show et plusieurs expositions d’états aux États-Unis. Sur la scène internationale, le juge Vander Meulen a établi les rangs lors de l’Exposition nationale mexicaine en 2006, la Royale de Sydney en 2008, l’exposition provinciale Lages (Brésil) en 2011 et l’exposition nationale Jersey du Brésil en 2014.
Pour l’exposition nationale Jersey Royale 2014, le juge Vander Meulen a nommé Claudio Aragon, de Blumenau, Brésil comme juge associé. Le juge Aragon est directeur technique pour Semex Brésil et vétérinaire de profession, ayant gradué de l’université vétérinaire de Rio de Janeiro en 1985.
Le juge Aragon est un juge officiel pour les Jerseys, les Holsteins et les Suisses Brunes. Son expérience comprend l’exposition nationale de l’Uruguay, l’exposition Holstein de Trois-Rivières en 2011, l’Exposition de printemps de Québec en 2012, l’exposition Jersey Royale de Melbourne (Australie) en 2013, l’exposition d’été de l’Ontario en 2013 et la classe Jersey Futurity de 2013 lors de la Foire Agricole Royale d’hiver.
