Jersey Canada Announces Judges For 2025 National Jersey Show

Jersey Canada is pleased to announce the Judges for the 2025 National Jersey Show at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

Our official judge is Kyle Rivington. Kyle is from Carp, Ontario where he helps operate Glennholme Holsteins and Riview Jerseys. He is the seventh generation on this family-oriented farm where he milks 60 Holsteins and 10 Jerseys along with his parents and wife, Sophie. Kyle and Sophie have two children, Sawyer and Andi.

As a youth, Kyle was an avid 4-H member. He always enjoyed showing heifers in the TD Classic at the Royal and competing in the Intercounty Dairy Judging
Competition. Kyle, along with his wife Sophie, continues to show animals from Glennholme and Riview at local and championship level shows as well as at the RAWF.
Kyle feels very grateful for all the judging opportunities he has had in the past, and is extremely excited for the National Jersey Show this year. He has enjoyed judging at local 4-H, County Holstein, and Jersey Parish shows throughout Ontario and Quebec. He’s been privileged enough to judge both the Showmanship and Conformation classes at the Western Canadian Classic, as well as Showmanship at the TD Classic in 2023.The Association Judge for the 2025 National Jersey Show is Brian Rivington.

Brian is from Carp Ontario, where he and his wife Jill own and operate Glennholme Holsteins. They have four children Kristie, Kyle, Chelsea and Jaclyn, who were all involved with daily farm work and showing dairy calves while growing up. Kyle continues to work alongside them today.

They farm approximately 400 acres of hay, corn, beans, small grains and pasture. Jerseys were introduced to the herd in 1993 when a calf was purchased at a neighbours’ dispersal and again as 4-H calves for the girls to show.

Glennholme Holsteins has received two Master Breeder Shields, one in 1977, and one in 2012. Brian has bred Hosteins that have been Nominated All-Canadian dating back to 1971 and as recently as 2024.

Brian was an Official Judge with Holstein Canada for close to 30 years. He has had the good fortune of judging a large number of Holstein county shows in Ontario and Quebec in that time. Over the years, Brian has sat on the Genetic Advisory Board for Semex Canada, and is a Past President of the Carp Agricultural Society, the Huntley Curling Club, and the Carleton-Russell Holstein Club.
