Jerome Deslippe passed away

Jerome Deslippe passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side at the age of 81. Predeceased by his parents Earl and Juliette Deslippe and Maurice Wright. Loving husband of 26 years to Sharon Ann (1990) and Beth (2013). Loving Dad to Russell (June) and Rochelle (Pat O’Connor, 2002) and Step-Dad to John. Proud Grandpa to David, Keith, Nicole, John, and Mary. Loving brother to Joan (Ron) French, Judy (Roger) Heaton, Janet (Ron) Trimble, Earl (Barb) Deslippe, and predeceased by Paul, who was his faithful farming partner. Jerome will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jerome was a proud supporter of his community through the Malden Fire Department, many agricultural community projects, the Essex County and the Ontario Plowman’s Association, The Essex County Soil and Crop Association, The Essex County Steam and Gas Association, inductee Essex County Agricultural Hall of Fame, 4H Leader, Cor, Ushers Club, St. Theresa’s Chapel, and a House of Shalom Leader.

The family would like to thank CCAC and Hospice for their care and compassion.

Visitation will take place at the JAMES H. SUTTON FUNERAL HOME, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg (519-736-2134) on Sunday August 20th from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m with Parish Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral on Monday August 21st, from the funeral home at 10:30 a.m., going in procession to St. John the Baptist Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
