Jardin, the high production protein specialist, is delivering impressive progeny in the UK, allowing British farmers to benefit from a bull that has been a worldwide favourite for some time.
Holstein UK says over the last six months Jardin’s 20 classified daughters had an average type classification score of 82.6, 2.6 points higher than their dams. In all, three quarters of the daughters were classified higher than their dams. This ranked Jardin as number one bull in the Holstein UK category of 20 to 50 new classified daughters in the last six months.
“The Jocko Besne X Tonic son has an impressive heritage and is a descendant of a cow family that can be traced back more than 110 years,” says Nick Kirby, managing director of Bullsemen.com.
“He was bred by the D Family at Hermann Grünefeld, Backemoor in Germany who have an excellent reputation as a reliable source of top dairy genes.”
Jardin’s Dam – Dea – classified EX91 and attracted a lot of attention at a large number of Dairy Shows.
His current proof figures are based on 126 UK daughters, who produce + 546kgs Milk, with +0.11% Protein and offer the additional bonus and marketing opportunity of producing A2 milk.
“With more than 14,457 daughters, Jardin has been impressing farmers worldwide, so it is no surprise that his daughters perform well in the UK too,” says Mr Kirby.
