It’s a Win for Wishful Thinking at the International Junior Ayrshire Show

Toppglen Wishful Thinking-ET, the winning Lifetime Component Merit Cow, was named Senior and Grand Champion of the International Junior Ayrshire Show on Tuesday, October 3. She is owned by Tanner, Brennan, Marissa & Logan Topp of West Salem, Ohio. Wishful Thinking is the recipient of the Lillian & Keith King and Jim King Grand Champion of the Junior Show Award and the $500 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Award. Reserve Senior and Reserve Grand Champion honors went to the winning junior of the Six-Year-Old & Over Cow Class, Moy-Ayr Predator Lively, owned by Steve, Pauline, Rebecca, & Emily Schmidt of Delavan, Wis.

The winning junior of the Senior Three-Year-Old Class, Moy-Ayr Berkely Darling, was chosen as the Intermediate Champion. Darling is owned by Steve, Pauline, Rebecca, & Emily Schmidt of Delavan, Wis. Sco-Lo Kingsire Boom, owned by C, C & C Cannon and M, T & K Arnold of Dyersville, Iowa, was tapped for Reserve Intermediate Champion. Boom was the winning junior of the Junior Three-Year-Old Class.

Grand-View Champ Dyna, the winning Fall Heifer Calf, was awarded the honor of Junior Champion of the International Junior Ayrshire Show. Dyna is owned by Jacob, Logan, and Madison Harbaugh of Marion, Wis. Reserve Junior Champion was Bricker-Farms Champions Choice, owned by Callen and Dawson Damrow and Abby Porte of Pocatello, Idaho, and was the top junior in the Summer Yearling Heifer class.

Official judge, Kurt Wolf of Guttenberg, Iowa, and associate judge, Steve Searles, Pine Island, Minn., evaluated the 108 junior entries.
